FAQ
Before Everyone Arrives
Which game is best for people who have just met?
Pictionary and Telephone are dependable starts because attention rests on a prompt or drawing, not a personal story.
How long should a first game last?
Ten to fifteen minutes is enough. Stop while people are asking for another round.
What if someone does not want to play?
Let them pass without comment. Offer low-key roles such as timer, prompt picker or scorekeeper only if they want one.
Do funny challenges need prizes?
No. A shared laugh is sufficient. If you use points, make the reward symbolic and low-stakes.
Can we use a trend format without filming?
Absolutely. The structure—timer, reveal, pass-along—works perfectly as an offline activity.
What should not go in the prompt bowl?
Personal confessions, appearance jokes, dangerous actions, unwanted contact, expensive messes and anything that needs online posting.
How do I adapt for children and adults together?
Use familiar categories, team mixed ages together and remove references only one age group can know.
What supplies matter most?
Paper, thick pens, prompt slips, a timer and a clear table. Most good games need less equipment than hosts expect.
